1. Overview
RuntimeJS Inc. ("RuntimeJS", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Information we collect
We collect: (a) account data (name, email, billing information); (b) usage data (anonymized telemetry from our website and dashboard); (c) communications (support tickets, sales conversations).
We do not collect telemetry from the open-source RuntimeJS library. The library is fully offline.
3. How we use information
To provide and improve the service, process payments (Stripe, USD), respond to support requests, send transactional emails, and meet legal obligations under US federal and Texas state law.
5. Your rights
California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of their personal information, and the right to non-discrimination. EU/UK residents have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact [email protected] to exercise any of these rights.
6. Data retention
We retain account data while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure to comply with US tax and accounting laws. Anonymized analytics are retained up to 26 months.
7. Security
We are SOC 2 Type II audited, encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), and run quarterly third-party penetration tests.
8. Children's privacy
RuntimeJS is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data, in compliance with COPPA.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will notify customers by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
